[Elecraft] EQP - RST reports

Well, I don't know.  I agree that RST ought be removed from all 
contests where it has evolved that one merely sends 5nn regardless of 
the signal.  And I guess that includes almost all contests.  However, I 
was very pleased to see in EQP that people were sending meaningful 
RSTs, and that, I found, was useful.  If you've just given a person a 
439 or a 329, he understands why you may latter ask him to repeat part 
of his exchange.  I find it rather amusing in some contests to be given 
a 599 and then asked to repeat my number or state or whatever two or 
three times.  A meaningful RST helps the operator know what is being 
faced by the other chap during the qso.  That helps in general.
