I sorta tried to check in yesterday. I still need to work some kinks out of
my newly hung dipole... SWR is too high on 40 for my taste and for some
reason it seems I'm getting some RFI in the shack only on 20 mtrs (my 'puter
speakers hum when I xmit.  That's only happened before with a 100w rig).
Nevertheless, just to be able to accomplish *something* I did have one 300
mi QSO on 80 ;)

I have checked in before but it was before you were collecting sn#'s.

Since I haven't been on the air in a month or so I'm not sure if my new
dipole is just noisy or it was the bands. Was the QRN overall rather high
yesterday?
