The only useful thing to use for Winlink is a PTC-II for Pactor II and
III.

For all other digital modes, using a soundcard interface and software
is the best thing. If you want to keep your soundcard available for
other things, you can get USB soundcards, or the MixW RigExpert.

Check out EA3BLQ's website for some neat interface hardware for the
K2- http://www.qsl.net/ea3blq/tec_dig_int_ang.htm

   Fellow Builders,

I've been off of the digital HF modes for many years. Sold all that stuff a
   long time ago!

Now, well, it's time to do it again.

Given a K2 and a laptop with Win98, what is the TNC of choice these days?
I'd like to do RTTY, Pactor, etc, And I'd like to connect to Winlink (which
   I believe uses Pactor).

   Comments will be appreciated.

   Many thanks,

   Band
