In the colonies we call it Ground Fault Circuit Interuptor (GFCI) breakers.
They work, but you can't use them on leaky pool pumps! (I know, and am very
careful with the bum pump, but I plug it into a non-GFCI outlet to drain the
water on the cover.

as ELCB, RCD or RCCD. Possibly Ground Leakage Circuit Breakers?
