Hi All,
So is the bottom line that its ok to run the K2 at 5 Watts on PSK31 and
not to worry about the length of the transmissions?
I too have purchased the SSB module with the intention of running psk and
really too interested in SSB.
Thanks for clarifying this
March! It comes in like a lion and goes with a tournament!

You are right about the duty cycle, John.
The K2 is de-rated when running digital modes. The specifications page of
the QRP K2 manual shows it rated for 5 watts output, max, at 100% duty
cycle.
The K2/100 is rated for 40 watts running PSK31 and 25 watts for "..higher
duty cycle modes such as MFSK". That info isn't in the specifications of the
KPA100 manual, but on page 53 under "Using the K2/100 at High Power".

Just beginning the digital modes and was thinking of putting the K2 to run
psk31. I would be running just 5-10 watts and would like to hear from others
doing this on negative and positive feedback. Using the digital mode with
the k2 on full duty cycle seems to be rather hard on the rig since it doesnt
have a fan. Thanks john
