Hi
Try redoing the 20 meter alignment. You may have aligned it to the image =
frequency. The trimmers will sometimes peak at two different settings. I =
use a WM-2 watt meter set on the 100 mW range and look for the meter to =
move when adjusting the trimmers. Then go to the next trimmer in the =
procedure and watch for an increase. As the power comes up I switch to a =
higher range on the watt meter

Subject: [Elecraft] K1 4-band board problem
Hello all:
I finished a four band filter board to replace my 2-band board. All =
went
well with the construction but when the alignment steps were =
undertaken, I
ran into problems. First since my K1 was a Rev. D, I had to resolder =
R36 on
the RF board. That being done, all went well except for 20M with a =
output of
0.1 watt. All other bands tuned easily. So I'm left with what is =
specific to
20M. I resoldered the crystal pins and ground, checked and resoldered =
relays
K2, K5, and K6 and all surrounding capacitors, and the trimmer =
capacitors
specific to 20M. Still no output on this band. I noticed on this band =
on the
receiver alignment, that the AF output was much quieter than the other
bands, but the trimmers did peak the noise.
Little help please !!
