[Elecraft] K2 Audio mod question/problem?

Hi guys,
I finally got around to doing the K2 AF pot application mod to my K2 S/N
323.  I did the mod exactly per the application note. Everything checked out
with my ohm meter after cutting the traces per the application notes. I
reinstalled everything. I can still hear audio in my headphones with the AF
pot full counter clockwise as viewed from the front. The audio has plenty of
gain and is smooth it just does not shut off completely as the application
note states it should. Does this mean I have a bad audio pot or do I need to
look else where? This K2 has been in constant use for the past 4 years now.

Thanks in advance for any advice. My inclination is to replace the pot. It
will be a good excuse to try out my new Hakko 808 de-solder tool.
