[Elecraft] Incorrect Voltmeter Reading

Hi
All of the Elecraft radios (K2, K1, KX1) have a reverse voltage blocking =
diode in series with the power supply. The internal voltmeter connects =
after this diode so the meter will always be about .3 to .4 volts lower =
than the actual supply voltage. This series diode along with the self =
resetting fuse and a shunt diode protects the radio if it were =
accidentally connected to a reversed polarity supply. Just remember to =
add .3 volts to whatever the internal voltmeter reads for the battery =
voltage.=20

Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Incorrect Voltmeter Reading
I have a similar problem with my 4 band K1. The K1 battery voltmeter =
reads
say 12.0 volts when the actual voltage is 12.3-12.35 volts. I was =
thinking
my battery supply was about to give out when indeed it wasn't. I have
since made a note on my "quick reference" guide I carry around with
the transceiver and mentally add 0.3 volt to the reading that appears
on the LCD panel.
Anbody else notice this with their K1?
