[Elecraft] calibrating K2 S meter - strange behaviour

A little bit more detail: the second part (starting "Even stranger" in
my original post) makes the S meter read a couple S units higher
regardless of it's setting (i.e. if I set it mid-range so segment 5 is
lit, it will cause it to switch to segment 7 being lit).
