[Elecraft] XG1 BNC connector

Jim - Same problem. Center pin is indeed U shaped. I compressed it with 
a pliers from the pin's end to the plastic housing. Carefully compress 
as much as possible. I was then able to seat it and get enough of the 
center through the hole to be able to pull the lead through from the 
solder side. Checked the center pin for isolation before soldering. 
Looks as if the PC board hole is too small.
