Hi Kelly!
After all you should be OK if your CALCUR is set at 3,5 amps or lower.
It is also dependent of witch type of swr you have.
Inductive or capasitive.
Try watching amps while you are transmitting below , centre , higher =
than the dip of resonance on your antenna.
One condition will raise the current and the other will lower the =
current.
It's almost like putting an 8 omh speaker to a 4 ohm amplifier. The =
sound get lower and so does current , while putting 2 ohm on an amp. for =
8 ohm will cause to high current and maybee blow of the final.
this is also the case with radiotransmitters.
