[Elecraft] KX1 Progress Report-WOOHOO!

Hi All,
            I had my first KX1 QSO last night, on 40M with Barry VK5BLS near
Adelaide, a distance of approximately 500 miles. Barry was also QRP with a
Sierra running 2 watts. Conditions seemed to get worse after I answered his
CQ (Murphy's Law) the static crashes were loud and there was a bit of QRM at
times as well. Barry gave me a 339 and he was 559 with me. I was using my
ground mounted multi band vertical.
           I had a hiccup with the KXB30, I broke a lead clean off when
trying to straighten/squeeze the leads of C3.  I've E-Mailed Elecraft for a
replacement.
