I agree with your comment on the usefullness of the XG1.
Built mine last weekend and it confimed how good my K1 and KX1 are. Also
confirmed how poor my TS-450S is compared to the Elecraft rigs, although
it does seem to be near spec.
What did suprise me was how well my Drake R4C held it's own, pretty good
old gear, I think I'll keep it.
