Sounds like it is working normally. Antennas tend to tune rather
tightly on 160m since a small change in frequency results in a large
change in reactance. Your antenna is showing that change between 1805
and 1845 KHz. So when you move the KAT up to the higher frequency, it
will try to retune the antenna (in AUTO mode) when it sees RF.
When the SWR is something other than 1:1, the power reading will not be
accurate. So after the KAT retuned the load, you again saw a correct
reading.
Sounds normal to me...
