Erik,

That's an excellent article, the best treatment of the subject other than 
by Cebik, and it covers some things like the broad band frequency response 
which Cebik doesn't.  You need to read both to get the full picture, 
however.  John Belrose VE2CF, one of the authors, has written extensively 
about antennas.

You should also enjoy the K2.
