Over here lead based solder, such as Ersin Multicore is being phased
out. maplin Electronics..our equivilaent of Radio Shack...no longer
stock it..we have to put up with some Japanese Silver based 1mm diameter
stuff...they seem not to stock 22swg any more----Luckly I found a reel
in my garage today so I am sorted for when I start melting solder
again.
Hi!
Maplin do still stock Rosin Multicore. It's available on their website =
(www.maplin.co.uk) and in stores.
It's 0.71mm diameter 60%tin 40%lead rosin cored with non corrosive flux. =
Product codes are FR21X for 10m and FY70M for 500g.
It's easy to miss, look under standard solders. My K1 doing well on it =
as will, I am sure my eagerly awaited KX1!
Regards to all
