Don't forget the Tektronix 7000-series (7603, 7704, 7834, 7854, etc), as
they are very reliable, reasonably priced (eBay, swaps) and can be
'configured' by using various plug-in vertical and time-base modules.  There
are a few drawbacks, one being that some models use 'proprietary' IC's (very
few, but...), another that they are physically large. I have had nothing but
great luck with them.
