Michael makes a very good point I left out of the analysis of the OCF
effects on coax feeder, it does get a dose of unequal field with one side of
the antenna being close to the coax with its high voltage end, as compared
to the longer antenna leg more distant.  A more easily implemented solution
for test purposes might be double shielded coax, with outer being a Faraday
cage to the regular shield.  That could be made of heavy duty Aluminum
freezer foil wrapped on the outer coax insulation.  With nylon cable ties
readily available in Home Depot and other home centers, one could afix extra
shield or aluminum with ties.
