Here is article I wrote about my PW1 antenna.

I will have to say I had much better luck with a setup where the radials
could be spread out evenly than when on a small back porch of a motel.
You also need to be aware of what is close, ended up near a power
station for hotel and that created a lot of noise.=20

I would use an antenna analyser to dip when I got coil close in range I
wanted to operate. At that point the MFJ 971 tuner worked quite well.

But lets be realistic, it is a compromise antenna and cannot compete
with a big beam, but for portable work or where putting up a dipole, etc
was difficult, I have had a great time and made lots of contacts!

Subject: [Elecraft] MP1 antenna - any user experiences??

Hi all

does any one have any experience of these small MP1 antennas

I am looking for a small HF antenna that will perform reasonably for the

balcony of my apartment in D=FCsseldorf (when operating as DL4PLM!)

Does anyone have any experience of them and any comments about them?

regards

Simon
