Well, when I went scrounging in the junk box, I found a few 2N2222s and one
of them worked just fine. I've got it installed and at least it "sounds"
faster. The 2N2222 will handle up to 800ma. of collector current, so I'd
guess most if not all 12V amplifier antenna relays would fall into that
range.
