[Elecraft] 5th Anniversay

I have a dream...that on Elecraft's 5th Anniversary, Eric & Wayne will 
announce a big new transceiver kit. Eric & Wayne never did acknowledge work 
on a K3. According to my dream, K3 & K4 will be skipped. The new radio will 
be known as a K5. It will have variable band tuning, software updates via 
the internet, IF DSP, and of course any "dot" sized parts will be 
premounted as they are on the converters. The new  radio will be configured 
as a base unit, it will have a BIG chassis, large knobs and switches and a 
large display, but like the K2, you will be able to start building modestly 
and then add lots and lots of options. The options however, will not be 
crammed one on top of the other in the customary multi-layered fashion we 
are familiar with. Because of the big chassis, it will be possible to lay 
out the options side by side. Construction will not be more difficult than 
the K1 or K2, but will just take longer.
