Although they are considerably more expensive, you might want to check
out the Etymotic Research earphones. These are excellent professional
products, and provide excellent noise isolation. I work in pro audio,
and occasionally do live recording work where my mix position is set up
in the same room with a loud band. Their excellent isolation allows me
to mix at a much lower sound level than I otherwise would.

I have one pair of the ER4S model and one ER4P and I wouldn't consider
doing a live gig without one of them. They work great in a contest
situation, and they work great with my K2. The ER6 is a lower cost
model with somewhat lower isolation that should be fine for what you
need. The ER4P is a bit more efficient, but I this is likely to be
important only if battery drain is a big deal, and even then I wouldn't
expect it to make a lot of difference.

You can further improve the isolation (at least of the ER4's) by having
custom earmolds made by an audiologist. I find that the generic
earmolds that come with the headphones are fine for my physiology, so I
haven't done that.

Etymotic Research is located a few miles from O'Hare.

This may be the lowest cost vendor. They have a good reputation in the
pro audio world.
