[Elecraft] K2 Problems

I've got two problems with my K2 (s/n 2833). They are not related and beg=
an at different times;

1. Pre-Amp doesn't work - When I tap the Pre/Attn button the first time I=
 get the drop in audio with the Attn. When I tap it a second time I get a=
 slightly lower drop in audio, not an increase. It almost sounds as if I'=
m getting a -14 dB instead of a +14 dB. It was working up to about a mont=
h ago, now it doesn't. No obvious solder bridges, broken lines, etc. Any =
suggestions or troubleshooting ideas?

2. KAT100 doesn't work - I just completed the KAT100 and it doesn't work.=
 I checked the J-1 output from the K2 I/O and I'm getting the appropriate=
 voltage values. When I first fire up the KAT100 the Ant 1 and Low Power =
LED's light up. Selecting Ant 2 or adjusting the power does nothing. I've=
 checked for solder bridges, backwards IC's, miss-wired cable, etc. every=
thing looks good. The modifications to the K2 have been completed. Any su=
ggestions?

If anyone has some suggestions, please respond direct. I get the List in =
digest mode and would like to begin troubleshooting, and more to the poin=
t, fixing the problem.
