[Elecraft] KPA 40m PA oscillating

Hi

I have had a recurrence of the 40m oscillation.

PA puts out 145 w and the power cannot be controlled. I cant find out where
in frequency terms the PA is oscillating. And to make matters worse it has
just started to behave normally again.


However I have found out that after an oscillation the secondary menu
setting 'PA   on' has changed to 'PA  --' and can't be reset. On all other
bands the menu is 'PA   on' as expected. If I change band and then return to
40m the menu 'PA  --' has reset itself to 'PA  on' and the PA comes on as
normal but when PA is turned on it takes off.

So what is cause and what is  effect is a bit tricky to find.

Ideas ?
