[Elecraft] Audio problem solved! K1

Well, Gary and I noticed that the sidetone, although sounding great, did =
not vary in amplitude when the AF potentiometer was rotated. This led =
to seeing that rotating the potentiometer did NOT cause a resistance =
change between pin 1 and 2 at P1. This led me away from the RF board =
and back to the control board. Once I took the front panel off, the =
unsoldered lead at pin 1 of J1 was pretty obvious and embarrassing. =
=E2=98=BA Putting it all back together, I was gratified to hear white =
noise in the headphones! YAY!

I do have another problem, however. When peaking the premix caps (in =
the receiver alignment phase) I get a great peak (I=E2=80=99m using my =
KX-1 into an elecraft dummy load for a signal source). When attempting =
this with the RF caps (those labeled with letters instead of numbers) =
there is no peak whatsoever. In addition I cannot hear any signals =
using an antenna. This must be related to something in common with all =
the trimmer caps in the RF filter section. (This is a 4band filter, by =
the way). Ha, I=E2=80=99m checking for unsoldered pins but so far =
can=E2=80=99t find any.  Could I have screwed up T3 or T4?  I =
don=E2=80=99t see much else that is common to all 4 capacitors=E2=80=A6

Thanks to everyone for their help. I learned a LOT tracing through =
these circuits tonight, even if it was just a bone-headed mistake that =
led to the problem!
