[Elecraft] FL1 OP1 ssb filter

I need some help- I aligned my filters with Spectrum Analyzer ( I'm a 
mac guy) and the cw filters came out right on the money where I want 
them (600Hz sidetone). The problem is with FL1 OP1 on SSB- when I use 
this to listen to LSB, it's very muddy and pinched, but if I cycle to 
FL 2,3 & 4 ( at 2.2, 1.8 & 1.6 widths) it's fine. I can adjust FL1 
'past' OP1, but as I understand it that's not the right way to do it- 
it should stay at OP1 as a fixed filter. I'm wondering if I'm seeing 
a problem with the fixed filter on the ssb board, or am I missing 
something? I seldom use ssb; just thought it shouldn't be this way. 
Any thoughts?
