[Elecraft] The K2 and the serial port

I wonder if anyone else is having this problem: Running Win XP home with the
K2 connected to the serial port, if the K2 is powered on when XP is booted,
XP hangs while loading the drivers and scanning the serial port that the K2
is connected to.  If the K2 is powered off, there's no problem.   I've tried
this with a standard serial port, and a USB/serial port converter cable with
the same results.  Having power to the devices connected to the other three
serial ports produces no such problem.  I've not looked at the RS-232
interface lines yet to see if there's anything unusual about signals on the
K2 port.  I have the KPA100 with the serial port integrated.
