H Ron.
Go to the elecraft mailing list archeives and do a search on rtty.
I just made this adjustment yesterday. It's easiest to use spectrogram and
put a target line on 2125 hz.
Use Reverse R for rtty and normal R for PSK. Then do a CAL FIL for each rev
rtty filter, setting the BW to your desire. Not that the BW will be the same
for both Rev R and regular R, but you will adjust the BFO in cal fil
seperately. I leave FL4 to a very narrow setting for PSK, but I find even
that will be enough to decode strong rtty sigs.
Start with FL1 (also your TX filter, so make sure this one is wide enough),
and adjust the BFO to move the passband to center around your target
crosshair at 2125hz. Not this will be at the upper range of the BFO around
4916 ish or so. Repeat this for FL2-FL4. I have FL3 down to about .330 and
FL4 at .03. Center each passband on the target.
Exit Cal Fil and spectrogram. Load up your rtty program like MMTTY. Make
sure AFC and Net are turned OFF and the ham defaults of 2125 and 170 shift
are set. ALSO YOU MUST SET THE SHIFT TO REVERSE, NOT NORMAL. This is due
to the High BFO setting which sets it at the opposite side band.
Tune in a rtty signal for each filter. You may have to make minor BFO
adjustments but it will be very close. I have mine dead on with the narrow
filter and works great, especially when combined with the narrow dsp filter.
Let me know how this works for you and if you have any questions.
Even though the software is set for rev, I tested it and had some qsos
yesterday and they verified I was really in normal tones, not reversed.

Subject: [Elecraft] k2/100 + rtty
Hello,
Have someone experience with the K2 and RTTY?
I had some problems this weekend.
I use writelog in combination with MMTTY. So I use a soundcard from my
laptop.
1) First the smallest filter on the K2 in RTTY mode. I can select is 1.6
Khz, that is too width. Normally I like to listen to 500 Hz and when its
extremely big mesh 250 hz.
2) I can only tune en decode signals when I listing at 2.0 Khz or more.
In the past I used always a DXP38 and the radio a FT1000MP.
Any signal was tuned in within seconds, but now it's hopeless.
Now connecting the FT1000MP and Writelog/MMTTY it works fine, RX on 500 or
250 hz, but the weakest signals are coming in.
So what can I adjust on the K2 to get it working?
