Hi Ted,
>I find that transistors Q1 and Q2 do not present resistances as per the
>instruction manual.
I found, when I was testing my K2, that some of the resistances were =
lower
than expected. So, I next measured the resistance of a large capacitor =
-
charging the capacitor up in the process. Then I measured the voltage =
on
the capacitor. It was several volts! That means my DVM was using too =
much
voltage to read high resistance, which caused transistor junctions to
conduct.
In my case, I was able to lock the auto-ranging function on the DVM so =
that
it would not use high voltages to read large value resistances. See how
much voltage your meter uses. If it is more than half a volt, the meter
may be part of the problem.
