Hmmm.  It turns out that with the parts in my kit, 
the BNC connectors and overhead relays fit 
exactly flush with NO washers installed between 
the standoffs and the boards; i.e., the combined 
height of the parts between the boards (the 
relays and opposite BNC connector housings) is 
pretty much EXACTLY the lenght of the standoffs 
(actually, you can slide a piece of paper between 
the BNCs and the relays).  Fits like the 
proverbial glove.

If heatis  not an issue with the relays (i.e. no 
need to have air circulating across the top of 
the relay cases above the BNC connectors), I'd 
just as soon put all the washers on the the 
outside so I get even more contact on the mating 
connectors J4 and J5.
