[Elecraft] KI6WX Mods to KSB2

The mods suggested to increase overall gain and reduce IM described in
the following link look good. Have they been incorporated in post 3000
s/n K2's? If not, I assume there is a reason why not. Anyone know?

I have performed one very simple mod to give the K2 enough gain to make
my pro mics work. I've changed R14 in the KSB2 to 2K, and added a
transformer with a 1:10 impedance ratio (an old UTC O12) between the
mic and the radio. The combined result is 6 dB for a 150 ohm mic
(typical of most pro mics). I plan to also change the coupling caps,
but didn't have suitable parts in my junkbox, so haven't done that yet.
