Perhaps some of you who weren't hams back in the 50's and 60's may not =
be aware that a fixed 9 MHz was mixed with a variable 5 to 5.5 VFO to =
give 14 to 14.5 MHz and 4 to 3.5 MHz.  This was most frequently done =
with a Central Electronics 10B or 20A transmitter and a converted =
command set transmitter (VFO).  The sidebands were reversed from one =
band to the other but ALSO the two bands tuned in the opposite =
direction!

The only piece of my early sideband equipment that was smaller than my =
K2/100 was the microphone!
