I have the K1 noise blanker, which I believe works fundamentally about the
same as that of the K2.  It handles pulse noises, but does nothing for the
power line noise I've exposed it to at several different locations.  On the
other hand, the more complex circuit found on my ancient Kenwood TS-50S does
wonders reducing that same power line noise.
