Jim are you sure your Noise Blanker in the K2 is working. I thought =
mine
was useless as even when I used it mobile it didn't do a thing. Then I
heard reports from other owners that they thought the blanker worked =
great.
So I went on a troubleshooting binge. Finally figured out a way to test =
it
by making my own pulse noise and trouble shoot it with a scope. I =
finally
found a bad connection on the pulse output coupling cap. Resoldered it =
and
reinstalled it and put it in the car, started it up and had 20 over 9 =
noise,
turned the NB on and the noise went down to s2 or 3. It really does =
work.
If you want some troubleshooting hints and you have a scope handy...let =
me
know and I'll give you a step by step routine to check it out.

My KNB2 has yet to find noise that it will blank, and I have some
pretty nasty power line noise on some bands. Like you, I've wondered
if there is something wrong with mine. The blanker in my Omni V helps
with some of the power line noise. =20
