[Elecraft] Spurious signal after k2 click mod

Vic:
I just did the mod earlier this evening. I used it in several qsos,
including one that got a pretty critical listen, and all seemed fine.
However, after reading your message, I went down and listened to my
signal in my other rxs. With the Drake 2C, I could hear what seems to
be a very weak spurious signal as I tuned down toward zero beat. This
effect did not seem to be as noticeable, if at all, with the Drake R4B.
When one is so close to the rx, artifacts are to be expected. So I
guess the jury is still out. I could definitely hear something with
the 2C, but whether it was the K2 or the 2C at work, I can't say. How
about some input by others who have made the mod? It's hard to see how
this mod to the control board could produce spurious signals in the RF.
Meanwhile, I'll try to get more on-the-air feedback tomorrow. It's
bed time now.

best wishes,
