[Elecraft] KIO2 Not answering or acting wierd

I have a K2/100 with KAT100.  This weekend, I put in a new Motherboard to the computer (566 Celeron to a 1900+ Athelon).  It seems the serial port as quit working with the K2.  Before it had.  The serial ports works with the 756PROII.  I am using Ham Radio Deluxe at this point.
 
I get a message back that the program cannot read the frequency of the K2.  Has anyone seen this before.  I have tried the following.  Reboot the system.  Restart the K2
 
No luck.  Maybe a wire has come loose.  I am using the one I made as per the K2 instructions.  All I did was change the MB/reloaded software and then tried this.  Again, it works with the 756PROII
