The default settings for all filters include an "LPASS"
which has virtually no effect on audio except to roll off
the very highest frequencies.

BYPASS was put in to invoke a very low current state for
battery operation.

The new firmware provides a means to toggle the noise
reduction and the autonotch functions firectly from the
front panel, without having to use a menu. It also provides
a quicker exit from the menus.
