[Elecraft] ? on K2 received frequency pitch

Hi folks:
I recently completed Phase II on the RF board, and listened to my first
signals on 40 meters. I'm amazed (that it went together and works so
far!!!). I find that the pitch of the received signal--tuned so that it does
not disappear in the narrowest filter--is a fair amount lower than I would
prefer. At first I thought this would "track" the pitch of the sidetone
oscillator, but changing the sidetone pitch did not affect the received
signal. Closer reading suggests that the sidetone pitch is linked to the
received frequency display, and NOT the received signal pitch. Presumably,
then, this will be remedied upon further calibration of the BFO parameters
further along in the construction process--correct?? (Right now, the 4 meg
BFO oscillator trimmer cap is simply set to mid range.) If so, everything's
OK, and I've reached the end of Phase II in fine shape!!  Comments?
