I an listening to W1AW right now. It is 40 over on my ICOM 706 (and about +9
on the K2) Any way, on both there is a PRONOUNCED key click (with the
attenuator on!). Looking at the waveform on MixW (spectrum) you can see the
signal from 140465 to 140875.
By the way, didn't ARRL test the original K2 and have NO PROBLEMS with key
click.
Keep in mind that the K2 is owner (hand) built and it would not be that
difficult to get the wrong capacitor into the key shaping circuit and the
rig still function properly (other than worse than expected key click.
My 2 cents.
