I have both an Autek and an MFJ259B and they do a good job of this. 
Although it is not necessary to measure the inductance of toroids that 
you wind for Elecraft kits, the only way you have a chance of measuring 
a toroid correctly is to measure the inductance within the frequency 
range of the core material.  So in this respect, these devices are 
superior to the AADE unit (although probably not as accurate).
