Yes I tried two mikes on the K2, both had worked on it before, and both
still work on my Kenwood 2 meter radio.

I was too busy making CW contacts yesterday to pull the cover for mere SSB,
but I agree and will do today.

I had that page opened and lying on the desk last night, just didn't know if
it would give me anything to work with. Good point to check the carrier like
that. I was trying to think of a way to narrow down the problem.
This maybe wishful thinking, but I leaning toward physical damage to solder
joints on the back side of the mike socket on the K2. The 8 pin connect of
my SignaLink and of one of my mikes are hard to plug in and remove. Button
settings would have been better:)
I love running my K2 and hate to pull it apart even for a day.
