Maybe I'm missing something here, or maybe it's only with the N4PY software 
or maybe it's only with KIO control of the PTT ........

But with both my K2's, when on CW, if the PTT line is closed it keys the 
radio to full output.
This IS a disaster when you want to use software that can utilize the PTT 
line to make the radio change from RX to TX (without causing the radio to 
go to full output), let the relays changeover in the amp, and then start 
sending CW.
