The March QST has an article by the editor, Steve Ford, describing =
Classic Multiband Doublet Antennas on page 65 that would work well in an =
attic.  If the antenna tuner is the remote type, it could be located in =
the attic also, with coax to the transmitter.  Unfortunately, the =
article characterizes the antenna as a dipole.  Since it is used as a =
multiband antenna, it is a doublet.  Recent  editions of the ARRL =
antenna handbook blur the difference between a dipole and a doublet.  =
