Hi Bert:
>Oops, I checked in (Made contact.) with someone calling CQ ECN on 7045.
><hihi> I say someone because they were sending in relative "hyperspeed" in
>relation to my modest slo-code ability.

>I did hear a KD5?, but I thought they were calling you, Kevin. Well, you
>told me to be persistent and I sure was...just not with the net tonight.
><hihi> I'll try again next week.
That way probably either me or K6SE trying to raise Kevin... he checked in
and then disappeared... maybe back to the party for his XYL... I never
heard from him again.
When you checked in, Earl, K6SE, was trying to pull you thru. If he was
going too fast for you, don't feel the least bit bashful about asking for a
QRS. If he doesn't QRS, and then keep on asking!!!
In this particular instance, I'm not certain Earl was copying you all that
well either... I could barely hear your signals and there was no way I'd
have been able to pull you out. We did get some of your info... but not
your operating name "Bert". I pulled it from the FCC list, but it's a bit
different there.
Please continue to join us on the net. And NEVER feel bashful about asking
us to QRS for you. We should ALL be more than happy to do so.
I also heard W7JJL attempt to check in several times. I dropped my speed
down to about 8 WPM, but I was never able to get all of this information.
Still missed the first digit of his K1 serial number. He called me after
the net, and I responded, but never heard from him again.
Propagation really favored the west coast tonight.
