[Elecraft] K2 Sidetone

You probably have the sidetone source set wrong on your K2. Here's  how =
to
check/correct it:

1 - On the K2, Press MENU, select sidetone level (St L), press and hold =
MENU
to enter the Sidetone level set function. Turn the tuning knob, if =
necessary
to set the sidetone level above 000.=20

2 - Tap DISPLAY. You'll see either U8-4 or U6-25 and, hopefully, you'll =
hear
sidetone.=20

That setting chooses the output from the controller where the sidetone
appears. It depends upon the version of the firmware you have installed. =
=20

Just got a new (to me) K2 in the mail today. Great little rig.... =
however,
there is one problem that may be operator error so thought I would ask =
here
before digging too deep.  All functions work as advertised except the
sidetone, there isn't any. I set the level as high as it would go, but =
still
nothing. The SPOT function does not work either. Am I missing a setting
someplace? Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Thanks Tim NZ8J
