[Elecraft] Version 2.04 firmware

Hi folks,

I was looking through the KIO2 programmer's reference guide dated =
2/04/2004 on the Elecraft website, and saw some interesting things, =
namely that the K2 will now support six TRN bands with the latest =
firmware version, 2.04. That figures, since I just purchased a KRC2 and =
a version 2.03 upgrade for the radio which supports only three TRN =
bands.
My question is what avenue can I take to implement more than the =
three transverter bands that I have now? Am I out of luck with the =
existing KRC2? It is set for three extra transverter bands. I really =
would like to get at least four extra bands running off one K2. At =
present, I am using a K2 on 903, 2304, and 3456. I want 1296 MHz in =
there also! (The K2s have a DEM 144 MHz unity gain transverter mounted =
inside) I just got the KRC2 running so that the K2 bandswitch will do =
all the band changes of all ancilliary equipment. The net result will =
(hopefully) be a huge drop in the confusion factor at a multi op VHF =
contest station. I have another K2 for 5, 10 and 24 GHz. A third K2 is =
used on other VHF bands, while #4 is being built now. (They kinda grow =
on you!)
I am hoping the KRC2 can be reconfigured for a few more bands. I =
understand that the software can revise many functions. (Beyond that, I =
am clueless.) All I can say is the K2 is a great radio in so many ways. =
It still does not cook eggs for breakfast though.=20
Does anyone have some wisdom to impart?=20
