[Elecraft] Speaker dead

Howdy Folks,
   I seem to remember this happening to others but it has finally happened to me.  I 
pulled out the plug to my headphones on my K2  and the speaker did not start working.  
Do I need to replace the jack or has someone dug into the jack and fixed it manually?  
It may be because of the low temperature in my radio room but I think the spring on 
the jack has finally grown a bit weary.  Is 50 degrees too low?
