It sounds like your BFO setting on the USB is wrong. There might be a 20 =
or
30 Hz error because of the resolution on the logic of the K2, but that =
much
is clearly a mis-aligned BFO.

IF you were receiving him FB on the same sideband, were you using FL1? =
The
K2 uses FL1 for ALL transmitting. If your BFO isn't consistent from =
filter
to filter, you might have tuned him in FB on FL2, 3 or 4 but the K2 =
reverts
to FL1 when you key the rig to transmit.

Other possibilities include having RIT enabled, or you were in SPLIT =
with
the VFO's on slightly different frequencies.=20

I recently re-checked the K2 BFO settings for the SSB option by =

to a nearby ham on 80m.  After verifying a good signal I changed to USB
(without changing frequency) and my friend had to tune up several =
hundred
hertz to get good reception.

Is this normal and what is the reason?
