What I've done with my K2 was to add a couple 1/16"-thick washers between 
the speaker grill cloth and the frame of the speaker. This allows the grill 
cloth to remain in place (protecting the speaker and the guts of the K2 
from junk) while spacing the speaker away from the grill cloth.

This worked GREAT!
