[Elecraft] cw mode forces xmit !!!

#1     I'm hoping that I forgot something...

when I go to cw mode, the k2 goes into xmit.
no key attached...
I checked the jack assmbly; it's working fine.
I don't see that anything could be pulling U8-29 down ,, the dash line.

The ssb ptt works fine...audio etc...

what did I forget ??  to program ???

  # 2        ALso in the course of A to Bing my board , i think i lost q5 , 
as my sidetone is not able to be lowered or increased. I have 0-4 volts 
changing with the Lsetting ; and have tone at pin 4 of U8...   anyone have 
a spare 2n7000 !!!
  chicago has no more places that have any depth of NTE parts !!!

and for a while I thought I figured this thing out .
